WATER PROJECT NY is a science/choreography collaboration offering a multi-support transmission of knowledge to urban New York City audiences.  The purpose of the project is to dispel the misconceptions of the audience about the environment and to educate them about consumerism, greenwashing and avoidable patterns of consumption.

By fusing movement performances to the scientific message, we hope to maintain the attention of the audience and to pass the message developed by Mirowski for his Water Project workshop, touching and educating the audience when they are attentive and open to the performance. A different movement vocabulary is explored in each chapter in relation to the means of transmission of the environment message. The performances allow the creative team to bring the audience to the website, and capture some of their reactions or false assumptions about the environment that will illustrate the message of the film.
